Advanced InterTrust InterRights Point Uninstall Instructions

Right click on the orange globe in your systray (the small icons near the clock on your Start bar) and select "Shut Down InterRights Point". If the globe is already grey, you can skip this step.

  1. Go to the directory where you installed the InterRights Point (default is C:\Programs Files\InterTrust) and delete the "InterTrust" folder.
  2. Go to "Taskbar & Start Menu" settings, and remove the "InterTrust" folder from both the Programs folder and Startup folder on the Start Menu.
  3. Edit the registry using the following instructions:


When you edit the registry, you must be very careful and only modify the components listed below. Failure to do so may adversely affect your machine’s performance, and InterTrust is not responsible for those actions.


a. Go into REGEDIT. (Start->Run-> and type REGEDIT in the window that pops up and click OK.)
b. Expand (click on the "+" symbol) the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE entry and expand the following folders in the order that they are listed: software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\explorer\mycomputer\namespace\{5BCC07D0-2A37-11D1-97AD-00600819BB66}
c. Highlight the entry: {5BCC07D0-2A37-11D1-97AD-00600819BB66} and select Edit->Delete. Answer YES when prompted to delete.
d. Collapse the entries, (click the "-" symbol) to get to: software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\
e. Expand the Uninstall directory. Highlight InterTrust Budget Control, and select Edit->Delete. Answer YES when prompted to delete.
f. Highlight InterTrust InterRights Point, and select Edit->Delete. Answer YES when prompted to delete.
g. Collapse all the folders.
h. While still in REGEDIT, expand the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE entry, then expand Software. Highlight InterTrust and select Edit->Delete. Answer YES when prompted to delete.
i. Highlight Magex and select Edit->Delete. Answer YES when prompted to delete.
j. Collapse all entries, (press the "-" symbol).
k. Expand the HKEY_CURRENT_USER entry, then expand Software. Highlight InterTrust and select Edit->Delete. Answer YES when prompted to delete.
l. Reboot your system.
